STYLE BREAKDOWN // bandana
How to wear a bandana without looking like a cowgirl! Ok..I love cowgirls. But the country/cowgirl style is the very obvious play for the bandana. What I’m giving you here is the less obvious, road less travelled, super chic, laid back cool, way to wear your bandana. And let’s face it, we live in Tampa, aka America’s sweatiest city (that’s a fact), so we might as well make bandanas our friend.
you can find all these images over on my pinterest (pin with me, friend!) . Here’s how to rock it, clockwise from the top:
Bandana in your hair? Yes. In a very street chic braid, with a stripe. It’s even mustard colored. // via refinery 29
Around your neck with distressed denim and lennon glasses for some Americana Chic // via eat.sleep.wear
Around your neck again, but this time a black one, in a very french laissez faire kind of way // via vogue
If there’s anyone who knows how to wear anything in a non-cowgirl way, it’s Blair Eadie. Around the wrist with a studded cuff. I dare you. //via atlantic-pacific
With a white tee because you know you just rolled out of bed looking perfectly perfect // via closetfulofclothes.com
So go ahead and break out the bandana. And if anyone greets you with a “yeehaw” just refer them to pinterest. Where bandanas are making a very chic comeback.
and if that doesn’t convince you, there’s always this. And this. Yeah. B E Y O N C E.
